Schemion April Player Of The Month
The accolades just keep on coming for the World’s #1 player, Ole Schemion (GPI#1). One week after winning the EPT Season 10 Player of the Year race, Schemion was the top player for April, winning GPI Player of the Month honors following his successes at both the EPT Sanremo and the EPT Grand Final festivals.
Seiver, Gruissem And Chidwick Making Waves
Some big moves atop the GPI300 rankings this week as Scott Seiver (GPI#2), Philipp Gruissem (GPI#3) and Stephen Chidwick (GPI#10) all continued to push towards the top.
Seiver moves to a career-best #2 following a runner-up finish in the EPT Grand Final High Roller event. Gruissem, who defeated Seiver heads-up to win the High Roller title, moves back into the Top 10 for the first time in five weeks.
It’s a Top 10 debut for UK pro Chidwick this week. After nine cashes at last year’s WSOP in Las Vegas, a lot will be expected from Chidwick at this year’s Series.
Will Thrills Foxwoods Again
Will “The Thrill” Failla (GPI#54) chopped his way to another victory at Foxwoods!
Failla won over 36K USD for his win in the Foxwoods Mega Stack Challenge Championship Event on Sunday.
Tom Dobrilovic (GPI#276), who moved into the GPI300 for the very first time last week, finished 10th in the event.
Winter Final Tables CPPT Jacksonville
Sean Winter (GPI#457) is amongst the final six players returning to bestbet Jacksonville on Monday in the hopes of winning the next title on the Card Player Poker Tour. Winter starts the day with the third biggest stack at the table.
Final Day Set At Chicago Poker Classic
The Million Dollar Guarantee Chicago Poker Classic’s final day is ready to go as recent Heartland Poker Tour Indiana champ Edward Ochana (GPI#1770) and former WSOP Circuit Iowa winner Travis Lutes (GPI#5824) are among the final 11 players battling for the top prize.
Notables Ravi Raghavan (GPI#41), Sean Giesbrecht (GPI#2137), Greg Raymer (GPI#675) and Chance Kornuth (GPI#944) all cashed in the event.
UKIPT Nottingham Finale Underway
Final table play is already underway at the Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham as the final eight players battle for UKIPT supremacy.
Final table participants include WPT Prague 10th place finisher Ryan Spittles (GPI#483), Ramey Shaio (GPI#2115) and UKIPT Isle of Man champ Duncan McLellan (GPI#4197).
