The PA online poker market continues to struggle. The market revenue of $2.6 million last month may be up month-over-month thanks to the usual seasonal growth, but it is down 14% on the same month a year ago.

PokerStars, on the Mount Airy license, continues to dominate with a market share of 62% last month, but it was also the worst performer, with revenue down 20% year-over-year. Its market share has fallen five percentage points from the 67% it controlled a year ago.

WSOP (Harrah’s) did almost as poorly. It reported revenue of just over half a million, down 15%, for a market share of 21%, its worst in over a year.

Those benefitting from those losses are BetMGM (Hollywood) and Borgata Poker (Rivers-Philadelphia), up 21% and 12%, respectively. The pair share the same player pool in PA, and together now control 17% of the market, up from 12% the same month last year.

PA online casino revenue continues to soar. It set yet another record of $132 million, up 33% in a year. Revenue at Hollywood-licensed casinos (DraftKings, Barstool, and BetMGM) soared to just shy of $60 million, a market record. Their market share of 45% is also its best.
