WV online casinos reported an all-time high in revenue last month. Licensees combined to generate $15 million, up 22% on the month prior and 41% on the same month a year ago. It bets the previous market high of $12.3 million set last March.
Operators on the Charles Town license — DraftKings and PointsBet, with the former assumed to generate the lion’s share — generated $6.6 million last month. Not only was it this pair’s highest-ever monthly revenue, but it was also enough to top the market for the first time in six months and by the widest margin in market history.
Having to settle for second place, those on the Greenbrier license — FanDuel, BetMGM, and Golden Nugget — reported $6.1 million in revenue last month. This gives it a market share of 39%, its lowest since the very first months of the market opening in 2020.
The remainder was mostly generated by BetRivers and Caesars, which share the Mountaineer Casino license. While still far behind the Big Two, it reported an all-time high of $2.4 million for a 16% market share, one of its best to date.
