The latest software update from GGPoker has changed its Flip & Go format to add an innovative twist. Starting October 29, players are now dealt two community boards—changing it into a double board game—during the flip stage.
This allows players to see more cards and reduces the variance as players can make their 5-card best hand from any of the two boards. Once the game becomes heads-up, it switches back to one board.
Launched in early January, Flip & Go is a largely luck-based game that allows players to jump directly into the money with very few decisions.
Players are forced all-in every hand until only one player remains at each table. Surviving players immediately move into the next round where they are all guaranteed a payout. From there, the tournament resumes as normal with a standard betting structure.
