- The requirement for suppliers to be licensed had already been postponed until January 1 2015, that date has now been extended until March 31.
- Any company involved in “providing arrangements for gambling by others and operating or administering (or participating in the operation or administration of) such arrangements,” will require the full operator license.
The latest update to the UK Gambling Commission’s (UKGC) FAQs changes the dates by which IT and software suppliers must acquire licenses. The requirement for suppliers to be licensed had already been postponed until January 1 2015; that date has now been extended until March 31.
Operators are required to have their applications for a continuation license in by September 16, and to be fully compliant with the License Conditions and Codes of Practice by October 1.
The new FAQs also help to clarify which suppliers are covered by the new license requirements.
