- After an accidental release last week, the HGC has now officially posted its first blacklist.
- The list is comprehensive, including 401 domains, excluding PokerStars, although pokerstarsblog.com is listed.
- ISPs must block access to blacklisted sites or face enormous daily fines.
- The blacklist fulfills fears expressed by the RGA that it would re-establish a monopoly for OPAP.
- The sale of OPAP was critical for Greek government finances and formed part of he Troika’s bailout demands.
- The blacklist will help to ensure that the sale goes through with no further problems.
The accidental release of the Greek blacklist has now been corrected, and the full 401 domain name collection of sites that have been deemed unauthorized is now up on the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) website.
