Evolution Gaming, providers of “live casino solutions” for online casinos have been granted approval to expand its studios footprint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. This is thanks to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) giving the green light to the expansion back in November.
A live dealer casino is an online casino where players can enter games that are run by a real-live person. Blackjack, roulette and baccarat are popular games in the live dealer gaming sphere.
The November sign off from the DGE is allowing Evolution Gaming to more than double the studio’s footprint to 5,386-square-feet within the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City. Security teams at the casino will be in charge of the entire security for the studio.
The expansion is expected to have the capacity to fit in 24 additional blackjack tables, one “Money Wheel” table and one “Side Bet City” table.
Live dealers have been allowed in New Jersey since August 2018, and Evolution has already launched its live dealer tables for online casino games on sites such PlaySugarHouse and through the Resorts Casino Hotel in addition to the Hard Rock, just to name but a few.
At the time, Evolution described entering the US market as “a significant milestone in Evolution’s growing North American presence”.
“Our entry into the US market has been a carefully considered long-term project,” Evolution CEO Martin Carlesund commented back in 2018: “Back in 2013 Evolution became the first Live Casino provider to gain New Jersey Preliminary Waiver approval. Having closely monitored US market developments over the past few years, while reinforcing our position as Live Casino market leaders in Europe, we believe that now is the right time to launch with a full-fledged studio facility for the US.”
“Now we have a fantastic Live Casino studio in New Jersey — with a wide choice of live games from day one, and ample room for expansion and the rapid ramping up of services to meet our new US licensees’ needs,” Carlesund went on to say. “We are now extremely well placed to support our licensees as they acquire and grow market share in the exciting new US Live Casino market.”
Evolution is not content with entering just the NJ Casino market. Plans to enter the burgeoning Pennsylvania online gaming market are also in the works.
According to a press release on the Evolution Gaming website “Penn National Gaming will use the new Evolution Live Casino production hub to stream live table games to its players in Pennsylvania. The new Evolution studio will be home to more than 10 online live tables and a wide range of Evolution game variants.”
Scheduled for a tentative 2020 Pennsylvania launch games such as Texas Hold’em Poker as well as casino games such as Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat will all be on offer. Plus, as more states legalize online gaming there could be even further expansion by Evolution Live Casino in the future.
