- BetMGM and its partner Borgata Poker launched together in Pennsylvania just over a week ago.
- The new network constituting BetMGM PA and Borgata Poker PA has averaged just 27 concurrent cash game seats.
- It has failed to make a dent in the traffic of PokerStars PA.
The first cash game figures from the latest market entrant in Pennsylvania are in, and one thing is clear—it will be no easy task to usurp the leading online poker room in the state.
According to figures tracked by independent industry monitor GameIntel, available exclusively on the PRO Data platform, the new network constituting BetMGM PA and Borgata Poker PA has averaged just 27 concurrent cash game seats over the last seven days.
It has failed to make a dent in the traffic of PokerStars PA. The Pennsylvania online poker site of the global poker giant is today the largest regulated site operating in the United States and its traffic levels in May—holding at around 340 average seats—has not wavered since facing its first competition.
In other words, an estimated 93% of cash game hands in Pennsylvania have been played on the PokerStars US regulated site in the last week, despite a big push from BetMGM.
