Stockholm-listed online gaming company Betsson AB will look to utilize its new Greek online gambling license for offer online poker alongside casino, slots and sports betting, PRO has learned.
Last week, the European online gaming giant reported that it had been granted a pair of licenses from the Hellenic Gaming Commission to offer online gaming, one for casino games, including poker, and another for its sports book.
The operator plans to use the pair of licenses to launch a full suite of regulated online gaming products to Greek customers under its flagship Betsson brand, operating under the Betsson.GR domain. The licenses are valid for seven years.
A Betsson spokesperson confirmed to PRO that online poker was part of its plan, though it may not be quite ready on the day of launch.
“We are extremely excited to launch in Greece in the coming weeks and we are working on having poker as part of our offering, although probably this will not be included on launch day,” Roderick Spiteri Schillig, Betsson’s Head of Employer Branding and External Relations, told PRO.
