MGM Resorts and Playtech Partner to Launch New Live Casino Platform MGM Resorts and Playtech Partner to Launch New Live Casino Platform

Casino giant MGM Resorts International and one of the biggest iGaming software developers Playtech announced a new strategic partnership between the two companies on June 20.

The partnership will result in the creation of a brand new product branded as “MGM Live” which will include access to a live dealer casino experience hosted in two of MGM Resorts’ most iconic Las Vegas properties.

Once it is fully operational, MGM Live will be available for licensing in a variety of regulated igaming markets around the world and not just those within the US.

Considering the reputation of both companies in the industry, it is likely that MGM Live will represent one of the best online live casino experiences out there, playing a serious competitor to all similar products.

Las Vegas Venues Will Play Host to Live Casino

One of the major attractions of the new live casino product that’s being created is the fact that all games will be streamed live from the floors of two iconic Las Vegas casinos, MGM Grand and Bellagio.

Among the most popular Las Vegas destinations, the two casinos are known for offering a luxurious gaming atmosphere and high-end amenities, and MGM Resorts will be looking to replicate the experience for online casino players.

Once launched, the platform will host games like single and double zero roulette wheels and baccarat, as well as other live casino tables.

Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts commented: “The launch of this new and exciting live casino offering, in partnership with Playtech and directly from Bellagio and MGM Grand in Las Vegas, furthers our strategic vision to be the world’s premier gaming entertainment company. This collaboration amplifies our commitment to providing unparalleled experiences and expands our global reach to our customers.”

Evolving Partnership with Wide-Reaching Goals

The strategic partnership between Playtech and MGM Resorts seeks not only to create a new live casino platform but establish one of the best live dealer casinos in the entire world.

The international reach of MGM Resorts was previously limited, but players in a wide array or regulated igaming markets will now have a chance to get acquainted with the brand and experience gaming done the MGM way.

MGM Live is set to launch with a limited number of live casino games and add further Playtech games, branded TV show games, and celebrity-hosted shows as part of the experience.

With online casinos around the world able to license the platform, players in all corners of the planet will have a chance to play at Bellagio and MGM Grand virtually via the Playtech-powered online platform.

Playetech’s CEO Mor Weizner commented on the partnership saying: “We are thrilled to partner with MGM Resorts, a world-renowned gaming and entertainment brand. This alliance combines the strength of MGM Resorts’ global prestige with Playtech’s extensive international market knowledge and innovative games.”

“As a leading technology provider in regulated markets, we are delighted that this partnership is pioneering a new live entertainment category and product offering for players in these regulated territories.”

MGM Resorts Is Going International

While the popularity and stature of the MGM brand in the US is undisputed, casino players in other parts of the world who have not had a chance to visit Las Vegas have mostly not been acquainted with MGM just yet.

That will all change in the coming months as Playtech and MGM Resorts bring their MGM Live platform to market and igaming operators in various jurisdictions start introducing it to their player pools.

Stay tuned for more information on the new live casino platform and be ready to play MGM-branded and Playtech-powered live dealer games in the very near future.
