- : “Rational Group has decided to opt-out of the “loyalty points” program offered by several third-party payment processors, in accordance with our contracts with those payment processors.”
- The list of excluded merchants now stands at 139, including many of the biggest online poker rooms.
The Rational Group has opted out of the Skrill loyalty points program. Skrill has now added PokerStars and Full Tilt to the list of excluded sites in their T&Cs.
PokerStars told pokerfuse: “Rational Group has decided to opt-out of the 'loyalty points’ program offered by several third-party payment processors, in accordance with our contracts with those payment processors.”
Skrill users earn loyalty points for transactions with all merchants except those on an exclusion list. The list stands at 139 sites, and all are gambling sites bar a sprinkling of Forex dealers. Skrill loyalty points can be redeemed for merchandise or cash at the VIP store.
Big names on the list include Ladbrokes, Winner, Titan, Betfair, Betsson, Betfair and Stan James. Names conspicuous by their absence include PaddyPower, Bet365, Bodog, and William Hill. PartyPoker’s absence from the list may be due to their recently imposed 3% charge for cash outs via Skrill and other ewallets.
In explaining the reasons for their decision, the PokerStars spokesman said: “Rational Group is unusual in the online poker world for offering a range of free deposit and withdrawal options in many countries around the world.”
