Partypoker New Jersey released its finalized schedule for the upcoming Garden State Super Series (GSSS) which will feature a $1 million guaranteed overall prize pool.
The GSSS will begin on Sunday, September 7 and run through Sunday, September 21.
A representatives of partypoker previously released a draft schedule on the Two Plus Two forums soliciting feedback from players within The Garden State.
On Friday, the official partypoker New Jersey representative kindly thanked posters for their input and informed the community of several alterations to the original draft schedule.
Those changes include: $50,000 guaranteed first place prize to the eventual Low Tier Main Event champion, changing some Pot Limit Omaha events to 6-handed, increasing starting stack size for rebuy and add-on events, as well as designating Event #18 as a “Cubed” tournament that offers three levels of buy-ins.
Not many of the changes suggested by forum posters were implemented; however, the GSSS still promises to be a marquee Series thanks to its seven-figure prize pool over the course of 60 events.
Three Tiered Buy-Ins
The tournament entry fees will range from $5 to $1,000 with Low, Middle and High buy-ins for each event.
The two week long Series will include a wide variety of poker variants including No Limit Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 6-max, bounty, and rebuy tournaments.
The Main Events will have buy-ins of $50, $200 and $1,000; however, the largest guarantee of $200,000 belongs to the Middle Tier Main Event. The Low and High tiers have $25,000 and $50,000 guarantees respectively.
The ambitious $1 million guarantee makes this the largest online poker series in New Jersey’s short history, besting April’s New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOP) which offered a $600,000 total guarantee, up from $500,000 following community feedback.
The GSSS will coincide with the 2014 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), which will be held on PokerStars.
