- “Throughout the storied history of the WSOP, this year will be particularly memorable and we’re preparing for a poker reunion all players can celebrate.”
- Among the notable new additions on the schedule is Event 20, a $1000 buy-in tournament that is structured like its global online poker partner GGPoker’s Flip & Go game.
- 88 bracelet events are planned for the Las Vegas festival, one up on what was proposed in 2020 before its cancellation.
- When combined with the online bracelet schedule, it dwarfs all previous years, both planned and actual.
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) has announced the full schedule for its live festival this year, confirming a full slate of bracelet events in the later autumn slot.
As first announced back in April, WSOP 2021 will start on September 30 and run through to November 23, some four months later than usual due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
However, despite this still-precarious climate, the organizers are putting are not holding back: 88 gold bracelet events, in line with the last few years, is scheduled over the eight-week period, with a large selection of high rollers, some unique new variants, and a new low-stakes, $5 million-guaranteed “Reunion” event.
“Make no mistake, the 2021 WSOP will be the real deal and we’re preparing for a full house,” said Ty Stewart, the WSOP’s Executive Director. “Throughout the storied history of the WSOP, this year will be particularly memorable and we’re preparing for a poker reunion all players can celebrate.”
“We’re beyond thrilled to offer a complete schedule of can’t-miss events including all our flagships and the variety players deserve,” he added.
