Veikkaus, the Finnish online poker room, is running the Austrian-Finnish Online Poker Championship (AFOPC) on iPoker’s Austria and Finland network this October, in conjunction with its Austrian counterpart win2day. The series kicked off last Friday and spans ten days.
Like all online poker offered in Finland and Austria, the series plays out on the closed liquidity pool powered run by iPoker. The AFOPC series guarantees €250,000 across 42 tournaments with a mix of events including PKO, turbo, highroller, PLO and NLH variants.
The winners of each of the 42 tournaments will be added into a special Champion of the Champions freeroll that will play out after the series ends on October 11, with a guarantee of €5,000.
“Win2day, together with Veikkaus, is proud to again host the annual Austrian and Finnish Online Poker Championship in 2021 with a total guaranteed prize pool of €250,000,” a spokesperson from win2day told PRO.
