888poker is rolling out the red carpet and, this time, the party is free. It is billed as the “most glamorous freeroll series of the year” and with over $300k guaranteed, that looks like a decent assessment for the Royal Premiere Freeroll Series.
The party is already ongoing and runs through the spring and summer with multiple ways for players to win their way onto the red carpet. Whatever you like to do on the 888 client, there is likely a way for you to get to one of three premiers just by doing what you love most.
Whether you grind the cash tables, go to war on the MTT battlefield, or love the fast-paced action of online casino or sports, there are ways to earn a ticket to one of three different levels of freeroll.

Walk the Red Carpet to Big Prizes
With games already underway on the 888poker client, the Royal Premiere freeroll series is set to dazzle audiences. Even though opening night was May 16, the series is just at the beginning of a strong run that plays on the client near you through Aug 18.
While this is a freeroll series, the games are not open to everyone. To keep it exclusive, players have to earn their way to the red carpet through daily challenges. While tickets to the three levels of games are exclusive, it is pretty easy to win your way into The Red Carpet Freeroll.
Three Paths to the Red Carpet
No matter what your favorite game is on 888, there is a good chance that you can win your way onto the Red Carpet pretty easily. There are three Red Carpet ceremonies daily and three ways to win, tailored to specific games:
Cash Game Comedy | Win a hand in cash games with any royal card (Min. stakes of 1¢/2¢ apply) |
Poker Tournament Thriller | Play poker tournaments (including BLAST) with buy-ins totaling $5 or more. |
Casino & Sports Action | Place bets totaling $2 on any casino games or sports events. |
Red Carpet Luminaries go to the Silver Screen
While a ticket to the Red Carpet is pretty easy to get, the Silver Screen Club is a bit more exclusive. Players who walk the Red Carpet at least nine times in a week get a free pass to Sunday’s big Silver Screen freeroll at 18:00 (6 PM) GMT every Sunday.
- Complete 9 or more Red Carpet challenges to earn a ticket to The Silver Screen Freeroll
The Golden Era Club is for A-listers Only
The monthly Golden Era Freeroll is a very exclusive affair with its own set of entry requirements. While earning your way onto the Red Carpet and the Silver Screen will help your quest, you need to do just a bit more to make it to the big monthly show worth $20k.
The Western | Win 5 hands in cash games with the Cowboys (a pair of Kings). |
The Drama | Finish in the money in 3 tournaments. |
The Adventure | Win 5 games of blackjack with a Jack. |

Evolving Picture at 888poker
While customers of 888poker and its casino and sports betting sides may not see any changes to the brands they know and love, there are changes afoot behind the scenes at the operator. Poker Industry PRO recently reported that shareholders of the parent company voted to change the name to Evoke as the company makes drastic changes in its US presence.
About the new name, CEO Per Widerström said “Today marks the start of Evoke’s exciting future. With our clear strategic framework and value creation plan, we are confident that we can cement Evoke’s place at the heart of the global betting and gaming industry for years to come.”
The name change comes on the heels of the announcement of major changes to the US-facing side of the business. While players across the world outside the US will likely see no changes, the exit of the operator from the New Jersey online poker market is big American news.
While the brand will still retain a presence in the US online poker scene through its white label partnership with WSOP.com, which will soon be combining the player pools of WSOP Michigan, with its WSOP Nevada and WSOP New Jersey player pools, much of the 888 branding looks to be disappearing from US markets.
