It’s that time of the year and poker players from all over the world are slowly beginning to flock to Las Vegas, as the 55th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) kicks off in just a few days.
And even as the WSOP rages on at Paris and Horseshoe, Cardplayer Lifestyle is bringing back its popular Mixed Game Festival, with the Bellagio Poker Room playing host to the five-day affair this time around.
Starting June 16 and running until June 20, the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival will offers mixed game aficionados an opportunity to compete in the usual friendly atmosphere and at affordable stakes, while playing for valuable prizes added by the organizers and sponsors of the event.
Once again, the Festival will host daily Dealer’s Choice cash games starting at noon, with stakes starting at $4/$8 and $8/$16, and higher stakes games available on request.
Historically speaking, the Bellagio Poker Room has been one of the most attractive locations for high stakes mixed game players, and the Mixed Game Festival VIII will give players of all means and bankroll sizes a chance to compete where the likes of Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, and other poker legends plied their trade for decades.
Bellagio Poker’s Director Craig Larson commented: “Bellagio Poker is thrilled to team with the Mixed Game Festival this summer. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to introduce Bellagio and Bellagio poker to a new level of mixed game players. We see mixed game players as a growing and welcome group of guests, and look forward to hosting the festival in June.”
Win Extra Prizes at Mixed Game Festival VIII
The Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival has become a staple on the yearly poker calendar by now, with seven previous iterations of the Festival running in various destinations and attracting hundreds of mixed game fans and poker aficionados from all parts of the world.
Hosted by the Cardplayer Lifestyle founder Robbie Strazynski, the 8th edition of the Mixed Game Festival will once again bring a host of valuable prizes on top of the chips in play, including five $400 seats for a prestigious Moneymaker Tour event.
After giving away a package for the NAPT event in Las Vegas last year, the Mixed Game Festival has now partnered up with the Moneymaker Tour to give all participants a chance at a free seat in an event of the everyman’s poker tour that offers fun poker competition and valuable prizes in a more relaxed and recreational atmosphere.
Moneymaker Tour’s Executive Manager Tony Burns said: “Chris and the Moneymaker Tour share a passion for the growth of mixed games in our industry. What better way to help that growth than through supporting the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival at the Bellagio this summer.”
Each day of the Festival, Robbie will give away one of the five seats by drawing random table numbers and seats and asking the players in those seats questions about Chris Moneymaker. If a player answers correctly, they receive the seat. If not, another seat is drawn until someone takes down the grand prize.
More Value Up for Grabs
The five Moneymaker Tour seats may be the most valuable prizes of the Mixed Game Festival, but they will certainly not be the only perks of this prestigious event.
In fact, most players who show up to play in the Festival will be rewarded in some fashion, starting with the Pizza Party for all on Sunday, June 16, at noon, the very start of the event.
More freebies will be given away daily to the players sitting at the Dealer’s Choice tables, as they are joined by the likes of Robbie Strazynski, Hall of Famer Eli Elezra, and a variety of other well-known poker pros who will pop in to say hello and play some hands of their favorite poker games.
Along with the Moneymaker Tour seats, a variety of other prizes and merchandise from the event’s sponsors like PokerGO, Pokercoaching.com, BBO Poker Tables, D&B Poker Publishing, and Faded Spade Playing Cards will be given away to the participants.
Players who decide to play in the Festival will also get free parking spots for the duration of the event, provided 3 hours of playing time are logged, as well as a 25% discount on all rooms at the Bellagio.
With all rake capped at $5 per hand, the Mixed Game Festival promises to be one of the best side games in town this summer, so make sure to stop by and play at least one session with what could be the friendliest group of poker players in Las Vegas.
Play Poker at the Legendary Bellagio
The Bellagio rates as one of the top hotels and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip and having just celebrated its 25th anniversary, it is also one of the longest-standing five star properties in Sin City.
Offering luxurious accommodations and casino experience, the Bellagio is every poker player’s dream home, and its Poker Room is nothing short of spectacular.
Come summertime, the poker room will be expanding past its usual 37 tables to accommodate for all the extra action, and some of those tables will be reserved specifically for the 8th edition of the Cardplayer Lifestyle Mixed Game Festival.
If you have spent a lifetime watching the legends of the game play poker at the Bellagio and hearing the tales of the fabled million dollar games played at the Bobby’s Room (now Legends Room), you will definitely want to take part in the Festival and experience a part of poker history at this exciting five-day cash game festival.
