The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event broke its attendance record once again this year, as 10,112 players made their way to Las Vegas with a dream of becoming the next world champion.
Over 1,100 of those won their Main Event seats at GGPoker, and two of them still remain in the field of nine, as both Boris Angelov and Joe Serock won their seats through GGPoker satellites.
The two remaining qualifiers enter the final table with 52.9 and 83.6 million respectively, both trailing the chip leader Jordan Griff (143.7 million) by quite a bit, but also having substantially more chips than the likes of Andres Gonzalez (18.3 million) and Malo Latinois (25.5 million), who will play the role of the short stacks.
Should either Angelov or Serock end up winning the Main Event, they will walk away with $10,000,000 in prize money, but also an additional $1,000,000 promised by GGPoker to any player who qualifies through the platform and wins the biggest tournament of the year outright.
The last GGPoker qualifier to win the Main Event was Espen Jorstad, as the Norwegian champion took it all down back in 2022. Unfortunately for him, GGPoker did not have the promotion running that year, so he had to be content with the $10,000,000 first-place prize.

How Far Does Road to Vegas Lead?
Over 10,000 players entered the 2024 WSOP Main Event with the hopes and dreams of following in the footsteps of some of the game’s greats like Phil Hellmuth and Chris Moneymaker.
Only nine remain now, and two of those made their way into the tournament through GGPoker’s Road to Vegas promotion, which ran for months in the lead-up to WSOP, ensuring over 1,100 players get their Main Event seats.
Bulgarian Boris Angelov won his $10k WSOP Main Event seat through a $250 satellite tournament on GGPoker, already ensuring a significant return on investment before setting foot in Las Vegas.
On the other hand, seasoned poker pro Joe Serock won his seat in a $1,200 satellite, ensuring he would be in contention for the additional prize of $1,000,000 for any GGPoker qualifier who can win the Main Event.
Who Are the GGPoker Qualifiers in the Main Event?
Of the two GGPoker qualifiers still playing in the Main Event, Joe Serock is easily the bigger name, as the American pro has been a staple of the poker world for almost two decades.
With just over $4.5 million in tournament winnings to date and a WSOP bracelet won online last year, Serock is well-known to the poker community.
Yet, his Main Event run this year could more than double his lifetime tournament winnings, as he looks to capitalize on the years of effort he’s made and take down poker’s biggest prize.
Bulgaria’s Boris Angelov, on the other hand, is a less-known name in the poker world, as the young European has only been frequenting live tournaments for the last three years.
In that period, he has managed to amass close to a million dollars in winnings and cash 20 times at WSOP events, but without any final table appearances.
His biggest score to date came in April this year, when he came second at the EPT Monte Carlo Main Event, taking home over $660,000 in cash and all the confidence he would need for the World Series.
That confidence went a long way in the Main Event, as he was able to maneuver his way past thousands of players and find himself in an ideal situation, already more than doubling his lifetime winnings and looking to win significantly more over the coming days.
Joe Serock will enter the final table with a stack of 83.6 million, good for 52 big blinds, while Boris Angelov will have 52.9 million in chips, good for a playable stack of 33 big blinds.
