WSOP 2025 Full Schedule to be Revealed by End of February WSOP 2025 Full Schedule to be Revealed by End of February

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is returning in 2025, running from May 27 to July 16. With the start of the series only five months away, it has been confirmed on social media by the festival organizers that the full WSOP 2025 schedule can be expected by the end of February. It will be the 56th year the WSOP has run.

The WSOP has also confirmed that the series will return to the Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas Hotels and Casinos for the fourth time. The Main Event will start on July 2 and run through the end of the series on July 16, 2025. Main Event attendance records have been broken in both 2023 and 2024, so no doubt the WSOP will hope to attract even more players in 2025. We expect the Main Event to include four Day 1s and have a first place prize of around $10 million.

“Each year allows us to refine further and improve the WSOP offering, and 2025 will be no exception,” Ty Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of WSOP said via press release. “Expect the biggest poker events on the planet, the best action and the most intense competition as we once again welcome tens of thousands of poker enthusiasts eager to experience the magic of the WSOP.”

It has been confirmed that the Mystery Millions, Millionaire Maker, and the Senior’s Championship will all return this year, along with some new tournament formats that are yet to be announced. Last year, 99 live events were scheduled, so we are expecting at least 100 this year to take into account any new poker variants the WSOP wants to add in. This will make it the largest World Series to have ever run.

“As the calendar flips to 2025, we’re looking forward to inviting the global poker community back to the iconic Las Vegas Strip for the 56th annual World Series of Poker,” added Jack Effel, Senior Vice President of Poker Operations and World Series of Poker at Caesars Entertainment. “Building on last year’s triumphs and familiar faces winning WSOP bracelets, we are excited to see who will expand their legacy or become a new legend by passing poker’s ultimate test in the game’s most iconic arena.”

Online qualifiers to the WSOP will run in North American markets on the WSOP Online and on GGPoker internationally. From January online qualifiers are expected to start on GGPoker, but as of now, no more information has been released. In prior years, GGPoker has sent hundreds of people to the WSOP via its Road to Vegas promotion — which is expected to return for 2025.

For US players, we would expect online promotions and satellites to kick in around March, April time. This year may be slightly different though as Pennsylvania may have joined player pools with Michigan and New Jersey and Nevada by Q1 2025. The merging of players pools should only have positive implications for the WSOP.

It will mean for the first time, players on WSOP Online PA will join players from other states to compete for WSOP packages, incentives and bracelets, making it a much more lucrative market.

It also means the WSOP online bracelet series for 2025 could look different too. Usually, there are around 40 WSOP bracelets to be won, spread across the four states, but if Pennsylvania has connected its network to those in MI, NJ and NV, a singular online series could run concurrently across all states giving away a record number of bracelets.

The WSOP 2025 outing will also be the first time the brand has run under new ownership, having been sold to GGPoker’s parent company for $500 million back in 2024.
