As the full schedule announcement for the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) approaches, the organizers have launched online satellites for the Main Event.
Throughout February, every Sunday, WSOP is guaranteeing at least one seat for US players to earn a spot in poker’s most prestigious event—all from the comfort of their own homes.
These satellites are available for just $215 and are open to players in Nevada online poker players as well as those in, New Jersey and Michigan, who share the same player pool.
This marks the first major push to award Main Event seats for WSOP 2025. It is one of the best and easiest ways to win a spot in poker’s richest tournament. Players who don’t yet have an account with WSOP Online still have time to sign up and compete in these satellites.
The satellites are scheduled to run every Sunday at 7:30 PM (ET) and 4:30 PM (PT). The first satellite, held last Sunday, February 2, already awarded two Main Event seats after attracting 119 entries and creating a $23,500 prize pool.
But plenty of opportunities remain. These satellites also feature sub-satellites with entry fees as low as $10, offering players a chance to secure a seat in the direct satellite.
If you miss out on that, WSOP is also hosting Main Event freerolls each month, with one $10,000 seat up for grabs. This promotion is available to WSOP PA players as well, even though online satellites have not yet begun in that state.
To participate in the Main Event freeroll, players simply need to make a deposit using the special code (FEB2025) by February 25. Once approved, they will receive an entry to a freeroll on February 27, where the winner will earn a seat in the 2025 $10,000 Main Event.
Last year, the WSOP 2024 Main Event created yet another record after it drew 10,112 players to create a mammoth $94 million prize pool. 15% of the field came from online qualifiers, with the majority of those players qualifying through GGPoker (around 1100), while US players made up about 400 of the pool from the WSOP Online platform.
If the $10,000 buy-in feels steep, now’s the perfect time to jump into these online satellites before it’s too late.
When Will the WSOP 2025 Full Schedule Be Announced?
The 56th Annual World Series of Poker is set to take place from May 27 to July 16 at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, with the prestigious Main Event kicking off on July 2.
So far, WSOP officials have confirmed the return of three signature events—Mystery Millions, Millionaire Maker, and the Seniors Championship—alongside the iconic Main Event. They have also hinted at “some new, exciting tournament formats.”
The big question now is: When will the full WSOP 2025 schedule be revealed? We expect the full schedule to drop in mid-February.
Popular events such as the $1,500 Monster Stack, $400 Colossus, Ladies Event, and the prestigious $50,000 Poker Players Championship are all expected to return. Gladiators of Poker and multiple Mystery Bounty events should also be on the lineup.
Last year’s WSOP featured 99 live bracelet events, and it’s a safe bet that this year will see at least 100. Online bracelet events will also return, likely adding 25-35 to complement the live bracelet schedule.
