The wait is over! Organizers have unveiled the World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2025 schedule, marking a historic milestone with 100 live bracelet events for the first time ever – a fitting announcement given that WSOP just kicked off its 100-day countdown yesterday.
With around three months to go, players can now start mapping out their tournament plans. The WSOP 2025 series kicks off on May 27, returning to the Las Vegas Strip at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for the fourth consecutive year.
Running for eight weeks until July 16, the schedule is once again headlined by the prestigious Main Event, which begins on July 2 and features four starting flights through July 5. Last year’s WSOP series set several records, including the largest Main Event which saw 10,112 players battling for a $94 million prize pool. In total, over $435 million was awarded across 99 events.
But this year’s schedule comes with added significance as it will be the first WSOP under the ownership of GGPoker, which acquired the brand last year. Despite the change at the top, the overall structure remains familiar, with most events returning from previous years.
WSOP 2025: Key Highlights
- Runs from May 27 to July 16
- 100 live bracelet events
- Buy-ins range from $300 to $250,000
- Half a dozen new events added
- Tournament of Champions excluded again
- Fewer freezeouts this year
- Extra flights for popular events
- Colossus buy-in set at $500
- Landmark Mega Satellites return
- Online bracelet schedule to be announced later
For the first time, the WSOP will feature 100 live bracelet events, making it the largest series in history, surpassing last year’s total by one. The lineup includes a mix of returning favorites and exciting new additions, promising an even stronger schedule than before. However, online bracelet events have not yet been announced, though they are expected to return alongside the live events, with an announcement expected to come at a later date.
Notably absent once again is the Tournament of Champions (TOC), which won’t be part of the Las Vegas series. The official announcement makes no mention of this year’s TOC, though it is likely to return just before the series kicks off, as it did last year.
There is also no mention of the WSOP Plus app in the press release, leaving its mandatory use for registrations and payments uncertain for now. PokerGO will continue to provide broadcast coverage of the series, with a full schedule to be announced later.
“We had hoped to continue to break records last year, and we did – the WSOP Main Event was bigger than ever,” said Ty Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of WSOP in the press release. “In 2025, the WSOP schedule is better again, with something for everyone who loves the game. There’s nothing like summer in Las Vegas and we’re ready to welcome players to the biggest and best WSOP of all time!”
WSOP 2025 Schedule Details
The 2025 WSOP schedule brings plenty to digest, with a mix of familiar favorites, fresh additions, and notable adjustments. While most tournaments from last year return, several have been shifted to different slots, with some events scheduled earlier in the series and others pushed back.
The series kicks off with the popular Mystery Millions, returning with a $1000 buy-in and five starting flights running until May 31.
Though the overall lineup mirrors last year’s, there are a few fresh events making their debut. These include TORSE, a twist on HORSE that replaces Limit Hold’em with Triple Draw, and the Battle of the Ages, which splits players into two tournaments based on age—one for those over 50 and another for those under 50.
High rollers will also see new offerings, including a $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event and a $25,000 High Roller PLO/NLH Mixed 8-Handed. The series also welcomes a $5,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em, while the $1,500 Mixed Bomb Pot Double event introduced last year has been reworked into a PLO-only format, with No-Limit Hold’em removed.
Not every event made the cut this time. Flip & Go by GGPoker, which had been a fixture since 2021, has been dropped from the schedule. The Champions Reunion Freezeout has also been removed, as has the $3,000 HORSE, with the latter effectively replaced by the new TORSE event.
The traditional $500 Casino Employees Event is now called Industry Employees, broadening its definition to include more players in the tournament. The Independence Day Celebration NLHE event has been renamed Summer Celebration, retaining its $800 buy-in and flight structure, though it has now become a two-day event instead of three.
Meanwhile, the $500 WSOP Kickoff NLH freezeout has been renamed to simply $500 NLH Freezeout and shifted to a later date, with blind levels slightly adjusted from 11 minutes to 12 minutes. Notably, Colossus sees a price increase from $400 to $500, along with a larger starting stack.

As expected, all major Championship events return, including the $50,000 Poker Players Championship with a slight tweak to levels, allowing for a longer late registration period. Other Championship events such as $3000 Mid-Stakes and Eight Game also make a return along with various other variants.
There is once again a strong focus on popular low buy-in tournaments, with extra flights added for Mystery Millions, Colossus, Monster Stack, and the Mini Main Event to accommodate larger player fields.
There are noticeably fewer freezeouts this year, with multiple events that were previously played as freezeouts now allowing re-entries. Tournament structures have been tweaked, with adjustments to blind levels and late registration periods. Several events have been moved to different slots within the series, and tournament fees have increased in various buy-in tiers, particularly for high roller events.
The price points remain unchanged from last year, ranging from $300 to $25,000. However, the average buy-in across the series has increased.
While most tournaments don’t feature guaranteed prize pools, there are exceptions, such as the Gladiators of Poker NLH, which offers a $3 million guaranteed prize pool. Events like the Millionaire Maker and Mystery Millions don’t guarantee prize pools but ensure a $1 million first-place payout. Similarly, Lucky 7’s guarantees a $777,777 payout to the winner.
GGPoker, the new owners of WSOP, will once again serve as the exclusive international satellite partner, having sent over 1,100 players to last year’s Main Event through online qualifiers. Meanwhile, WSOP Online has already started running online satellites for US players, ensuring that more players can secure their seats to poker’s biggest stage.
“GGPoker’s Road To Vegas allows poker enthusiasts all over the world to make their way to Las Vegas and follow in the footsteps of their poker heroes by taking aim at WSOP gold. Join us in 2025!” said Daniel Negreanu, GGPoker Global ambassador.
Before the live events kick-off, the popular Landmark Mega Satellites will be in full swing, allowing players to accumulate a set amount of chips for a chance to win entry into some of the most sought-after events.
Structures for each event will be available soon, alongside the Daily Deepstack tournaments with buy-ins from $200 to $400, side events, cash games, and satellites spanning eight weeks.
