WSOP Toronto 2025 Returns with 11 Ring Events – Full Schedule Inside WSOP Toronto 2025 Returns with 11 Ring Events – Full Schedule Inside

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) and Great Canadian Casino Resort have officially confirmed the return of the WSOP Circuit to Toronto.

As previously leaked, WSOP Circuit Toronto 2025 will run from April 10 to 22 at the Great Canadian Casino Resort, in partnership with GGPoker, the official sponsor of The Poker Room at the venue.

Now, the full schedule is out.

This year’s series features eleven ring events —three more than last year. Organizers anticipate a much larger prize pool this year, expected to exceed C$6.5 million combined, with the Main Event projected to generate over C$3 million and the High Roller more than C$1.1 million.

The Main Event returns with a C$2,000 buy-in, featuring three starting flights. The first flight kicks off on April 17, with the final table set for April 21.

Last year, the Main Event drew 1,600 entries, generating a C$2.8 million prize pool. Of those, 324 players qualified online through GGPoker Ontario and the global GGPoker client. This year, organizers anticipate an even larger turnout of at least 1,700 entries. Online qualifiers will once again run on GGPoker.ca and are expected to go live soon.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Great Canadian and deliver premier poker experiences,” said Sarne Lightman, Managing Director of GGPoker in a press release that went out Wednesday. “By combining the best of live and online poker, we’re ensuring players have unparalleled access to the WSOP Circuit in Ontario.”

The C$3,500 High Roller returns this year, running from April 21 to 22, along with the C$1,000 No-Limit Hold’em event, scheduled for April 12 to 13.

This year’s schedule also introduces many new events. The Ladies Event (C$300 buy-in) takes place on April 11, while the Seniors Event (C$400 buy-in) runs on April 15. The increasingly popular C$800 Mystery Bounty makes its debut as a two-day event from April 14 to 15.

Fans of four-card poker will be pleased to see the addition of a C$600 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) event on April 16—marking the first time a PLO tournament has been included in the Toronto Circuit. The series wraps up with a C$400 No-Limit Hold’em event on April 22.

Some adjustments have also been made to last year’s events. The opening event now features a C$600 buy-in, up from C$250, while the Deepstack event has been upgraded from C$400 to C$600. However, the C$600 NLH 6-Max event has been removed from the schedule.

All events will begin at 11 AM EST and allow re-entry with alternates. Participation requires a Great Canadian Rewards membership.

In total, the series is expected to generate over C$6.5 million in prize money, though organizers will need to manage capacity constraints and long registration lines from previous editions. Last year’s inaugural WSOPC Toronto in 2024 saw more than 6,000 entries and awarded over C$5.5 million in prizes.

Online Qualifiers on GGPoker

GGPoker, now the owner of the World Series of Poker brand and the official sponsor of the venue of WSOP-C Toronto, will once again host online qualifiers and expects to send even more players this year.

“We’re thrilled to partner once again with GGPoker to bring an elite poker experience to Toronto,” said Michael Kim, Executive Vice President, Great Canadian Entertainment in a press release. “The demand for this exceptional tournament continues to grow, attracting top talent from around the world. This year’s event promises even higher stakes and unparalleled excitement. We’re proud to continue elevating the poker scene and being the sole destination in Ontario delivering WSOP events for players and fans alike.”

While these online satellites are not yet live at the time of writing, they are expected to launch soon on both the Ontario-exclusive platform and the global dot-com network. Buy-ins will likely start at just C$1, with direct satellites priced at C$215. Players will also have plenty of chances to secure a seat in the Main Event through round-the-clock sub-qualifiers.

In addition to online qualifiers, GGPoker Ontario players can compete for a WSOP ring from the comfort of their homes. Prior to the start of the WSOP Toronto Circuit series, GGPoker will be hosting a C$5 million guaranteed WSOP Super Circuit Series from March 2 to 31, featuring 18 ring events, including a C$525 buy-in Main Event with a C$300,000 guarantee.
