WSOP 2025 Main Event Qualifiers Begin on GGPoker WSOP 2025 Main Event Qualifiers Begin on GGPoker

Last year, the WSOP Main Event made history again, drawing a record-breaking field of 10,112 players. GGPoker played a big role in this achievement, sending over 1,100 players—more than 10% of the total field.

Nearly 800 of those players won their seats through GGPoker’s popular Road to Vegas promotion, which ran on both the global GGPoker network and the Ontario platform. This meant that one in every 14 players in the Main Event won their entry via GGPoker.

The Road to Vegas 2025 promotion is now back for the fifth year, giving players outside the US a chance to qualify for the WSOP 2025.

Online qualifiers for GGPoker’s Road to Vegas 2025 have officially begun, with the first one kicking off today. Buy-ins start as low as $1, leading players through a step-satellite path with a buy-in of $20.

The $20 step-satellite grants entry to the $150 Step, where players can advance to the $1,200 Mega Satellite—the final stage where WSOP 2025 Main Event packages are up for grabs.

The first Mega Satellite takes place on Sunday, March 9, guaranteeing at least 15 WSOP Main Event packages worth a total of $180,000. These events will run every Sunday for the next couple of months. As in previous years, each package is valued at $12,000 and includes:

  • $10,000 2025 WSOP Main Event seat
  • $1000 for accommodations
  • $1000 credited to the GGPoker account for traveling expenses
  • Access to the GGPoker Platinum Lounge
  • GG Merchandise and gift package

All online satellites on GGPoker use the popular Target Stack format, where players win their seats by reaching a specific chip threshold—typically nine or ten times the starting stack—rather than outlasting a set number of opponents. This structure offers a faster and more efficient path to qualification compared to traditional satellites, which often require longer play sessions.

These online qualifiers are expected to run until June, with GGPoker hoping to send another 800–1,000 players to the WSOP 2025 Main Event through this campaign.

Players can also earn a spot in the $1,200 final step via GGPoker’s unique Express satellites. These rake-free events provide a quicker path to qualification, with buy-ins typically set at one-fourth or half the cost of the target event. While they are not yet live, they are expected to launch closer to March 9.

WSOP Super Circuit Road to Vegas $2M Ticket Drops

Another way to win a WSOP 2025 ticket is through the WSOP Super Circuit Series, which kicks off on March 2 and runs until the end of the month. The series boasts a massive $100 million in guaranteed prize money, featuring 18 ring events and hundreds of side events.

But in addition to the $100 million guaranteed prize money, the operator is also giving away $2 million worth of Road to WSOP tickets. These tickets are awarded randomly, meaning players don’t need to make a deep run to win them. Prizes include entries to $20, $150, and $1,200 Road to Vegas satellites, as well as full $12,000 WSOP Main Event packages, all distributed through these random giveaways.

Road to Vegas History

This marks the fifth consecutive year that GGPoker is running online satellites to help players qualify for the world’s richest poker tournament series. In 2024, the operator sent 1,124 players to the WSOP Main Event, with 732 qualifying through GGPoker’s dot-com client and 59 via GGPoker Ontario, bringing the total to 791. Additionally, 100 players secured their seats through GGPoker’s subscription-based sweepstakes platform, ClubGG, while another 233 registered directly via the GGPoker client.

In previous years, GGPoker qualified 774 players in 2023, 312 in 2022, and 251 in 2021. For the 2021 and 2023 editions, the operator sweetened the deal by offering a $1 million bonus to any qualifier who went on to win the Main Event. In 2022, Espen Jørstad famously turned a $1,050 satellite entry on GGPoker into a WSOP Main Event victory, securing a nearly 10,000x return on investment. However, that year, GGPoker did not run the $1 million winner’s bonus promotion.

This year marks a new chapter for the WSOP, as it will be held for the first time under GGPoker’s ownership. While the WSOP 2025 schedule remains largely unchanged, the new owners are expected to ramp up efforts—particularly in increasing the number of players qualifying for the series.

It is not just GGPoker running online satellites, WSOP Online in the US has also launched its own qualifiers. Weekly satellites are now live across WSOP NJ, WSOP NV, and WSOP MI, each guaranteeing at least one Main Event seat.

The 56th annual World Series of Poker returns to the Las Vegas Strip from May 27 to July 16 at Horseshoe & Paris Las Vegas. The iconic $10,000 WSOP 2025 Main Event begins on July 2.
