The time has almost come for the 19th Sunday Million Anniversary Edition. Taking place on his Sunday, April 6 the tournament will guarantee $6 million and features a buy-in of $215.
But time has not run out for players on PokerStars to qualify for the Sunday Million for less!
Between now and when the tournament starts, PokerStars is giving away thousands of more seats, for a fraction of the usual buy-in cost. For the next few days, multiple satellites will run around the clock, starting from as little as $5.50 giving away upward of 800 tickets to this weekend’s Sunday Million. On top of that the action then really ramps up on Sunday before the tournament, with seven satellites giving away 1,700 seats to the event.

The Sunday Million 19th Anniversary Edition features an increased buy-in and prize pool from the usual weekly event, that guarantees $1 million with a $109 buy-in. Reverting to its original $215 buy-in for this Sunday, the event will also allow up to five reentries before late registration closes.
The last time an anniversary edition was this time last year. The guarantee was $8 million but unfortunately the event didn’t meet its guarantee and had $154,800 in overlays. With a reduced guarantee this year (its smallest since 2012) organizers will hope for a large turnout with the guarantee met.

PokerStars is no stranger to giving away tickets to players as part of promotions in the gear up to the 19th Anniversary Edition. They launched the Sunday Million Season, a promotional machine that started in late February, running all the way through until April 8, giving away $300,000 worth of anniversary event and satellite tickets.
Ticket machine giveaways have been running, seasonal leaderboards and easy to complete promotions such as the Challenge Card which gave away Sunday Million tickets weekly for answering trivia questions.
PokerStars is also hosting a Sunday Million Season leaderboard awarding an additional $100,000 worth of Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) tickets to lucky players. SCOOP is already underway in US markets, but is set to start over in the dot-com market from May 11 to June 2, for its 17th edition.
