BetMGM Poker Celebrates PA Shared Liquidity with Freeroll and $1 Million Weekend Series BetMGM Poker Celebrates PA Shared Liquidity with Freeroll and $1 Million Weekend Series

BetMGM Poker is set to be the first network to take advantage of Pennsylvania joining the multi-state online poker compact.

Starting Monday, April 28, BetMGM Poker PA and Borgata Poker PA will merge player pools with their counterparts in New Jersey and Michigan, officially creating the country’s largest multi-state poker network by market size.

To celebrate the launch, the network is rolling out special promotions, including a freeroll edition of its flagship C-Note tournament and a new May Millions weekend series, set to be the biggest weekend festival the operator has ever run.

“Pennsylvania represents the largest state to join the shared player pool and turbocharges our poker platform,” said Angus Nisbet, BetMGM Vice President of Gaming, in a recent press release. “This expanded player pool will allow us to deliver more games and bigger tournaments to our players. BetMGM Poker is ready to celebrate the growth of our shared liquidity network throughout the spring and summer in a variety of ways.”

On the very first day of the merger, BetMGM will host a special edition of its flagship daily tournament, the C-Note, featuring a boosted $35,000 guarantee. Normally carrying a $109 buy-in, this April 29 event will be completely free to enter, a celebratory “Free-Note” freeroll, as the operator is branding it and will be open to players in all three states.

This freeroll awards a $5,000 BetMGM Poker Championship package to the winner, which includes a $3,500 seat to the live event in Las Vegas and $1,500 in cash for travel and accommodations.

Following the freeroll, BetMGM will run May Millions from May 8 to 11, a weekend series the operator is calling its biggest ever. While the full schedule has not been released yet, it is set to feature 18 events and a combined $1 million in guaranteed prize money.

Highlights of the series include a $1,000 Championship Event with a $400,000 guarantee, a $2,500 Super High Roller, and another freeroll awarding a BetMGM Poker Championship package. It is not clear whether the $1,000 buy-in Six-Figure Sunday, part of BetMGM’s regular rotation, will be included in the series lineup.

BetMGM May Millions 2025 Overview:

  • Runs from May 8 – 11
  • $1M in guarantees
  • 18 events
  • $1,000 Championship Event boasting $400k guarantee
  • Available to players from NJ, MI & PA

While it may not be BetMGM’s largest series in terms of total guaranteed prize money, May Millions stands out for its high intensity and compact format. Full details, including the complete BetMGM May Millions schedule and registration information for the freeroll, are expected to be released in the coming days.

In addition to the two headline promotions, the operator will also run its popular Spin the Wheel promo daily. Players simply need to log in to their account each day for a chance to win tournament tickets worth up to $500.

Meanwhile, online qualifiers for the BetMGM Poker Championship are ongoing every Thursday and Sunday through June 22. The $3,500 high-stakes event makes its return to ARIA in Las Vegas from June 30 to July 4. Satellite entries start at buy-ins as low as $5.

“It’s been amazing being part of the tremendous growth of BetMGM poker throughout the years,” said Darren Elias, BetMGM Poker Ambassador and four-time WPT winner, in a recent press release.

“Adding a large market like Pennsylvania is a huge milestone in continued expansion and provides the opportunity to compete against more players and for larger prize pools. I used to call Pennsylvania home, and it played an important part in my early poker career. I can’t wait to log in and get in the mix,” Elias further stated.

While there is still time before the debut of BetMGM May Millions, the operator is expected to increase tournament guarantees once players from all three states are fully merged into the network.

Following the weekend series, BetMGM is also likely to roll out the Spring edition of its flagship BetMGM Online Championships, which could be its largest tournament series to date. When BetMGM Poker Michigan and BetMGM Poker New Jersey merged, the series featured $2 million in guaranteed prizes and with Pennsylvania poker players now in the mix, guarantees could climb to $2.5 million or even $3 million. That series is anticipated to run in late May.
