Last Shot to Qualify for the 2025 WSOP Main Event
Last year’s WSOP Main Event shattered records with a 10,112-player field, the largest in history. GGPoker played a major role in this milestone, sending more than 1,100 players, over 10% of the total field. Nearly 800 of them qualified through the Road to Vegas campaign, meaning one in every 14 Main Event participants came from GGPoker.
This year, GGPoker appears to top that number, aiming for an even greater share of online qualifiers. And there is still time to win your seat. Qualifiers are running non-stop, starting at just $1 or $2.50, and feeding into a multi-step satellite path.
Players move from a $20 step satellite into a $150 tier, eventually reaching the $1,200 Mega Satellite, the final stage where the $12K WSOP Main Event packages are awarded. These run multiple times daily, and this Sunday alone, at least a dozen full packages are expected to be given away.
All online satellites on GGPoker follow the popular Target Stack format, where players win their seats by reaching a specific chip threshold, usually 9 to 10 times the starting stack, rather than outlasting a fixed number of opponents. This makes for a quicker, more efficient path to qualification compared to traditional satellites, which can require hours of play.
This Sunday could be the final opportunity to win a 2025 Main Event package, as GGPoker may wrap up its satellite offerings soon.
Winning a package comes with more than just a $10,000 seat for a fraction of the cost. Players also skip the long registration lines at the WSOP venue, allowing them to breeze past the queues and head straight to their seats.
But perhaps the biggest perk? If a player qualifies on GGPoker, wears the official patch, and goes on to win the Main Event, they will receive an additional $1 million bonus. As improbable as it may seem, it is not out of reach; in fact, Espen Jørstad, the 2022 Main Event champion, won his seat through a GGPoker satellite. Unfortunately for him, the $1 million bonus was not offered that year.
