The Grand Prix Million will have nine Day 1s which players can enter at the casino in Nottingham and nine Day 1s which can be played online. Players can enter as many Day 1s as they choose. They will take the largest chip stack they achieve through to Day 2. The plethora of opportunities to get through to Day 2 should provide substantial support for the $1 million guarantee.
The DTD casino is well able to handle large scale poker tournaments—its largest Grand Prix event to date saw 4,932 entries.
An added incentive to satellite into the event early has been provided in the form of Golden Chips. The first 1,000 players to qualify will be awarded a Golden Chip which means that in the event of making the final table, they will be given an additional $25k in prize money.
