From January 21 – 31 PokerStars is guaranteeing $15 million in prizes during the iconic Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP) that is back for its fifth year. Players can expect 50 fast paced tournaments as part of the online poker series.
This year the TCOOP starts off with a three-phase tournament that culminates in a $1.5 million guaranteed event.
From January 7 – 21, players can qualify for Phase 3 of the event by playing as many Phase 1 and Phase 2 events until they make it to the final Phase which will take place on January 21. The Phase 1 and Phase 2 events are slated to take one hour to play making it easy for players to add to their already busy schedules.
The real headliner of this year’s TCOOP is the prestigious $700 buy-in Main Event which will take place on January 31 and features a whopping $2 million guarantee.
There will also be a Progressive Ultra-Knockout Tournament for the first time ever (where 75% of the buy-in goes to knockout prize money) and a Hyper-Turbo, Deep, One Rebuy One Add-on tournament which has only previously been seen in satellite games.
“The turbo structures, coupled with the range of games and formats, keeps things fun and interesting every day. Plus, with each tournament only lasting a few hours, it’s a great way to try and get a big score in a short space of time” commented Team PokerStars Pro Online member, Mickey ‘mement_mori’ Petersen in a recent press release.
PokerStars is running online qualifiers to every event in TCOOP, with cash buy-ins starting from just $0.11.
Beginning in early January, StarsCoin satellites will be available from just 1 StarsCoin. Log in to your PokerStars account to learn more. For a full TCOOP schedule click here.
