Not one to sit back and relax in the three month hiatus between making the Final Table of the World Series of Poker Main Event back in July and playing with the November Nine in Las Vegas at the end of October, Kenny Hallaert is keeping busying winning online tournaments and working for Unibet.
Early this week, playing under the screenname “FCBSpacey,” Hallaert entered and won the the $500,000 guaranteed partypoker Online Grand Prix, bagging $63,891 in the process.
He fought through a field of 4,531 entrants to take partypoker Online Grand Prix title, prize money and a buy-in worth $109 for the Grand Prix Poker Tour.
Hallaert’s win proves that making the November Nine is no accident and that he is a tour-de-force at the tables; both online and live. Hallaert currently sits 4th in chips at the Final Table of the WSOP Main Event.
On top of all this, Hallaert is also a Tournament Director for Unibet Open, his first outing of which was back in late August for the Unibet Bet Open Copenhagen which went off without a hitch. Joni Liimatta from Finland ended up winning the tournament against 375 other players.
Hallaert was previously TD for the Belgian Poker Challenge (BPC), a small tour that includes the PokerStars cardroom in the Grand Casino de Namur.
Here Hallaert talks about making the November Nine and what it means to him.
In the meantime if Hallaert’s win has got you wanting to try out the partypoker.com platform, their Powerfest is currently running where $10 million is being given away in guarantees.
Like previous Powerfests, the series is structured according to the Power Series weight levels: Featherweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight and High Roller.
Each weighting will have its own Main Event, but on September 25 there is a one off $1 million guaranteed Super High Roller that has a buy-in of $5,200 for those looking to win big.
