Daniel “Jungleman” Cates is joining the ranks of Moscow Wolverine Dzmitry Urbanovich and old school poker pro the Flying Dutchman Marcel Luske, as part of the pro lineup at the Caribbean Poker Party.
With live poker tournament winnings of almost $3,500,000 and more than $10 million in online cash game winnings, “Jungleman” will be a force to be reckoned with on the tables. Just don’t mention the Durrrr Challenge.
In a recent blog post over on partypoker it stated that Ubanovich “is excited to play in the partypoker Million tournament at the Caribbean Poker Party”. The Million tournament has a $2750 buy-in event that now boasts a $2 million guaranteed prize pool after partypoker doubled the original guarantee.
The Caribbean Poker Party: “A Sensational Adventure”
If you don’t know much about it, the Caribbean Poker Party is a week-long poker festival that runs November 19 through to 26 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
It will feature the headlining partypoker Million that has a $2 million guarantee and the high stakes WPT Caribbean, a $5000 buy-in tournament with a $1 million guarantee—the total guarantees for the entire week will amount to $3 million.
The festival is hosted by Dusk Till Dawn, the Nottingham-based card room. Online, $8000 packages have been up for grabs all summer at partypoker.com, including an MTT leaderboard awarding 10 Caribbean Poker Party packages a week as well as giveaways in conjunction with partypoker’s Power Series, that is running now through to September 25.
Points are awarded on the Summer Giveaway Leaderboard to anyone who enters a Power Series tournament with a buy-in of $109 or more. Points for each finish are awarded based on buy-in, field and finish position.
The Caribbean Poker Party prize packages are valued at $6000, and include a $3000 buy-in to the partypoker Million event, $1,000 towards travel costs, and all expenses paid accommodation, food and drink.
