The Montreal Nationals and LA Sunset have become the first two teams of the Global Poker League to be guaranteed a place in the playoffs in Las Vegas that start on November 29 at 3pm (EDT).
The Montreal Nationals, led by team manager Marc-Andre Ladouceur, sit comfortably at the top of the standings, 11 points ahead of LA Sunset which is managed by Maria Ho.
Two playoff places remain in the Americas division. The Sao Paulo Mets, New York Rounders and San Francisco Rush will all need to battle hard to secure their place—the Las Vegas Moneymakers sit at the bottom of the division and have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
