“For as little as $10, players can win a package worth enough money to cover all of their expenses at one of the most prestigious poker events in the world as well as a main event seat which could potentially result in winning life-changing money,” said Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu.
Breakfast with Daniel Negreanu
Players who win their way to the Bahamas will also have the chance to join All Time Money List Number 1, Daniel Negreanu for a breakfast Q&A where he will give “top tips for taking on live poker in the hope that it will give players an extra boost of confidence before playing the main event.” Considering Negreanu has $32.6 million in live poker tournament winnings to his name, his advice will be worth listening to for both new and experienced players. Check out our recent interview with Kid Poker to get a taste for what you can expect.
After the Q&A, Negreanu will hop into the $5000 PokerStars Championship Bahamas Main Event, and you could be there to join him.
PokerStars Championships and Festivals
Back in August, PokerStars announced a complete overhaul of the branding of its live tournaments, retiring the classic brands of the European Poker Tour and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Instead, the events will be called PokerStars Festivals and PokerStars Championships.
PokerStars Championship events will be some of the more prestigious poker events throughout the world with the aim of providing the best poker experience for players of all levels. PokerStars Championship events will usually last 10-11 days and feature up to 100 tournaments, including a €/$5,000 Main Event and a selection of cash games.
The PokerStars Festival events will last between 6-7 days and have “a fun, holiday feel and a variety of events, mainly tailored for recreational players,” according to PokerStars. The Main Events will have buy-ins ranging from $1000-$1500. You can find out more about PokerStars Festival events at their web site.
The inaugural Festival just recently concluded in New Jersey, and the Bahamas will be the first ever Championship stop.
