Nolan Dalla, Media Director for the WSOP and the man on a personal crusade to uphold the legitimacy of poker, has asked for one simple concession to end the planned boycott of the Venetian poker room: Admit that poker is a game of skill.
The boycott is planned for Monday, July 22 through to July 26. Its formation follows public comments from Adelson opposing the regulation of online poker.
In one Bloomberg interview, Adelson asserts: “That skill base is, in my opinion, just a bunch of baloney. To get a card is not skill base. I know people say it is skill based, but it’s just so they can categorize it in a certain segment.”
In an update on his personal blog Monday, Dalla asked that Adelson go on the record and state “Poker is a game of skill.“
There are no other conditions. All you must do is state publicly is that poker is a skill game. Once you do this, I will immediately call off the boycott of the Venetian Poker Room between July 22-26.
It is not a point Adelson is likely to concede.
