This Week’s Top 10 Online Poker Winners
According to the stats at highstakesdb.com, Kagome Kagome topped the charts with close to $600k in profit. Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond was not far behind as the only other player to tip over the half a million dollar profit mark.
Both players spent their entire week grinding on the Triple Draw tables with Kagome Kagome winning $580,474 playing 38 sessions and 4,673 hands. Galfond took home $530,896 in profit over 38 sessions and 5,330 hands.
Despite the high profile Triple Draw wins, probably the most noticeable name to grind out a profit was Gus Hansen, coming back from a disastrous $770,139 loss last week.
Hansen was glued to the Triple Draw tables, and his due diligence paid off after winning $433,214 in 72 sessions and 10,171 hands played. He made the rest of his profit playing PLO taking $57,529 in 26 sessions and 2,188 hands.
Another noticeably impressive result came via Doug “WCGRider” Polk as he appeared in the top 10 for the second week in a row. He remained on the Hold’em tables where he is known for his devastating heads up plays—by the end of the week he had taken his weekly profit in just 6 sessions and 1,295 hands.

This Week’s Top 10 Online Poker Losers
The biggest losses of the week were naturally at the Triple Draw games, paying off the handsome wins of Kagome Kagome, Galfond and Hansen.
Last week Dan “Jungleman12” Cates had the highest profit for the year, but he let things slip over the course of this week losing $574,748. At the Triple Draw tables he dropped $582,540 in 19 sessions and 2,062 hands.
Cates’ losses this week marred what had been an incredible 2014 on the draw tables—despite the big downer this week, he still remains 2014’s highest Triple Draw earner with a $841,972 profit over 136 sessions and 16,145 hands.
After Cates, there were also two more notable big names notching losses on the Triple Draw tables. Phil “Polarizing” Ivey was online playing 30 sessions and 2,427 hands losing $411,542, and Niklas “ragen70” Heinecker was also having a bad week losing $404,835 in 23 sessions and 3,043 hands.
