This week’s high stakes online cash games centered on the Deuce to Seven Triple Draw and the 8-Game Mix tables. Continuing on from last week’s high stakes action, profits and losses fluctuated once again with the usual suspects involved in the big money action.
The Week’s Top 10 Online Poker Winners
According to the stats at highstakesdb.com,, it was Austrian Niki Jedlicka who had the most impressive run at the tables this week. He played 39 sessions of 8-Game mix – running through 9,473 hands. His impressive performances produced $1,050,331 in winnings that helped him finish the week as the highest earner with a $1,048,614 profit.
Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond also joined Jedlicka in the 8-Game profits. Galfond played 27 sessions and 4,780 hands to win $710,676. His Triple Draw game was not in such good form as he lost $92,224 in 10 sessions and 1,118 hands. However, Galfond more than made up for the loss over on the PLO tables, where he played 13 sessions and 463 hands to win $126,264 and finish the week up $744,716 playing a total of 57 sessions and 8,851 hands.
Russian player Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn was also on the scene as he earned the third highest 8-Game profit for the week. After 51 sessions, he had played 8,314 hands to win $302,255. Kostritsyn was also on form over on the Draw tables where he raked in another $475,572 to add to his profits.
Kostritsyn’s impressive Triple Draw wins were overshadowed by Trueteller who in 16 sessions and 2,151 hands won an incredible $1,005,854. Trueteller could have ended the week with even better results had he not lost $174,835 playing NLH and another $124,336 playing PLO.

The Week’s Top 10 Online Poker Losers
For the second week running, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom recorded huge losses. This week, he was a heavy loser on the 8-Game tables after 51 sessions and 7,547 hands saw him drop $917,507. Phil “Polarizing” Ivey also suffered substantial losses on the 8-Game tables. His 8-Game downswing resulted in him losing $556,247 in 50 sessions of Triple Draw in 5,943 hands.
Both Ivey and Blom further reduced their bankrolls playing PLO Hi/Lo. Blom came out worse off with a $175,480 deficit, while Ivey’s loss was a little more respectable, which resulted in him dropping $33,244 in 12 sessions and 977 hands compared to the 15 sessions and 886 PLO Hi/Lo hands played by Blom.
Despite two of the big names losing substantial sums, it was Chinese player “*Samrostan*” who lost the most. Samrostan lost $1,024,527 in 25 sessions and 4,709 hands of Triple Draw. It was the worst loss on the Draw tables recorded over the entire week. Dan “Jungleman12” Cates also took a loss at the Draw tables, but he only lost $241,661.
Cates was not having as bad a week as Samrostan, nevertheless he was still on a downswing, which saw him lose an additional $251,445 playing 8-Game. He only managed to reduce his overall losses thanks to a PLO win of $68,103.

Overall, it was a great week for Niki Jedlicka. He has become 2014’s new leader in the high stakes online poker battle. In 94 sessions and 16,026 hands he has a $1,425,990 profit and now sits above second place Doug “WCGRider” Polk, who currently has won $760,028 this year.
