This Week’s Top 10 Online Poker Losers
Phil “Polarizing” Ivey may still hold the record for being the most profitable online poker player in the world, but as of late his high stakes online grinds have not been producing the kind of form he showed a few years ago when arguably poker’s number one player just couldn’t lose.
Starting on Good Friday and leading up to Easter Sunday he lost $138,389 in 4 sessions and 326 hands of PLO Hi/Lo. He also lost $38,580 in 6 sessions and 224 hands of 8-Game, which before Good Friday he had already recorded a $250,259 loss in 8 sessions and 459 hands in the same style.
In that same week leading up to Good Friday Ivey was a $315,080 loser on the Omaha Hi/Lo tables from 6 sessions and 335 hands; mainly losing to his good friend and regular grinding partner Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius. Ivey also recorded a small loss on the NLH tables leaving him $755,042 down in 27 sessions and 1,446 hands of poker for the entire week.
