The International Stadium Poker Tour's (ISPT) second event was recently unveiled and this time, as opposed to being held in one of the world’s largest sporting venues, it’s being held in an actual casino.
The tournament, given the under-title of “Silver,” presumably to designate it’s definitive non-Stadium location, is set to take place at the Casino de Tanger in Morocco from October 30 to November 3, 2013.
Dubbed the Tanger Millionaire Maker, the event promises a first place prize of 1,000,000 Moroccan Dirhams (which converts to roughly $118,000). The Main Event, currently the only one being promoted, comes with a €900 buy-in and three flights of Day 1s. As is the popular trend, players can re-enter should they play and bust out of Day 1A or 1B (or both).
There’s no mention yet of an online partnership or feeder satellites with the exception of the two that will be offered on-site. It looks as though the ISPT is looking to better manage expectations of their next event, as well as limit the potential overlay damage should the event run into a similar problem: it’s inaugural event ended up with a €589,000 overlay times the guarantee of this event alone.
Additional information on the ISPT Silver event can be found on the official ISPT website.
