The 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), set to take place January 5-13, will now come with a $10M guarantee for it’s $10,000+$300 Main Event.
This is the first time in the history of the event that PokerStars has attached a guarantee to the Main Event, which starts on Tuesday January 7, as they look to best last year’s ME field of 987 runners.
The offer of a $10M guarantee matches that of the hugely successful Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open which was the first to offer the “unprecedented” payout amount for its main event last month.
The PCA poker festival, which takes place at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, includes 39 events in total and spans the course of nine days. This includes a $100k Super High Roller tournament, which kicks off the festivities on January 5 as well as the $25k single re-entry High Roller tournament on Saturday January 11.
PokerStars is already running a wide variety of satellite tournaments as well as the popular Steps Sit & Go’s to help players qualify for a PCA package.
