With the final stop of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 10 now underway, PokerStars has released the first details of the 2014-2015 season.

Season 11 will commence in Barcelona on August 16 for an 11-day stop.

It will also host the 100th event in EPT history. As the only location to have hosted events in all ten seasons, Barcelona seems an appropriate place to celebrate the centennial.

Other confirmed stops next season include London in October, Prague in December and Deauville in January, all the same stops as Season 10.

EPT 10 is currently in its concluding phase. The Grand Final in Monte Carlo kicked off Tuesday, and the €10,000+€600 main event starts this Saturday. Season 11 will also return to the same place, same time, at its conclusion.

Further stops will be confirmed at a later date. Usually there are at least eight stops a season, so expect at least three more to be revealed—almost certainly including the PCA in the Bahamas, plus a stop in Italy and either Germany or Austria.

Targeted Demographics

Season 11 will debut several “enhancements” to the schedule, which are geared towards attracting less-represented demographics.

Dedicated €200 Seniors Events will be introduced at most stops, and Women’s Events will see buy-ins lowered from €300 to €200.

New “Championship Events” will also be introduced, dealing less common variants including HORSE, Stud and Omaha.

To mix things up further there will also be so-called “fun” events with more wackier games, like Deuces Wild and Crazy Pineapple.

To get seats filled, “more satellites than ever before” are promised online through PokerStars.com and its regional sites.
