The “$10,000 Sundays” tournament that runs at 6PM PST on Ultimate Poker will have $5,000 added to its prize pool tonight, pokerfuse has learned.
The added cash represents significant added value for the $100 buyin tournament.
“The guarantee hasn’t increased; rather we’ve simply added $5,000 to the prize pool” Andre Ledoux, CRM Manager at Ultimate Poker told pokerfuse.
In the weeks since the initial “$10,000 Sundays” tournament last month that saw Ultimate Poker sell out its first Sunday multi-table tournament, the guarantee for the tournament has always been met as US players strive to get back into the Sunday tournament grind that was so popular before Black Friday.
Tonight’s tournament represents the first since the World Series of Poker kicked off its annual live summer poker festival. With the number of poker players in town for the WSOP and other live poker series around Las Vegas, it is possible that the tournament will see a surge in participation.
