The high-stakes heads up challenge between Doug “WCGRider” Polk and Ben “Sauce1234” Sulsky came to a conclusion last night with Polk wrapping up the challenge for a combined $740k victory over Sulsky.
The pair set out to play 15k hands—they actually played 15144—at $100/$200 on Full Tilt Poker and be done by mid-October and they did just that. The pair also agreed upon an additional $100k side bet for the overall winner, meaning that Polk, in total, takes down just over $840k for his efforts.
During last nights final session, the pair closed it out by putting in the final 1,427 hands over the course of three and half hours which yielded an additional $150k of profits for Polk.
According to the Full Tilt Poker blog, Polk essentially had the lead from moment one and never looked back as the chart of his money lead is a steady uphill climb with the final results being a decisive victory over the Run It Once coach.
While it took a month to get the sessions in, the total time on the virtual felt to get to the 15k hands mark was roughly 48 hours of four-tabling action.
