Officials at the World Series of Poker have announced online options for satelliting into the 2014 WSOP Main Event, including their massive 25 seat guarantee to be held on July 5.

The WSOP.com “25 Seat Main Event Scramble” promises a prize pool no less than $250,000, allowing for players to take their shot at getting into the main for a $215 buy-in.

The event, held right before the start of the Main Event, will “most likely” be the marquee event for online players to find their way into the ESPN-televised tournament, pokerfuse was informed.

According to WSOP.com Head of Online Poker Bill Rini, should the online site get close to that guarantee in satellite qualifiers then they’ll “be looking at upping that guarantee.”

In fact, WSOP.com have started running satellites to the Main Event in both New Jersey and Las Vegas. On Saturdays, at 7pm local time in both states, the online site is running at $215 buy-in event where at least one seat is guaranteed. Daily qualifiers and single table satellites are available to help players step into this event due to its higher buy-in.

Additionally, on Wednesdays, only in New Jersey, they are offering one 10k seat guarantee tournament, at 7pm EST, for $27.50 (with rebuys and add-ons).

The Main Event isn’t the only WSOP experience you can satellite into though.

“We’re running satellites into $1500 and $10K events.  Unless specifically stated, $10K seats can be used in any of the $10K events. All $1500 seats, unless otherwise stated, can also be used for any $1500 event,” Rini told pokerfuse.

Wednesdays at 9pm local time in both NJ and NV players can take their shot at getting a ticket to a $1500 bracelet events for as low as $11.

Players are reminded that all seats won must be played, are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash; players are encouraged to clear their schedule to make sure they can make it out to the Rio this summer. While there’s no estimate of exactly how many players will find their way into the series through satellites, OnlinePokerReport reports that there’s a minimum of 93 seats up for grabs and Rini expect that the number could go up from there.

“We’ll be adding all kinds of satellites as people get in town and we have the liquidity available.  We expect SNG satellite action to pick up as more people hit Las Vegas in the summer so it makes a prediction on total number of seats difficult.”

While others may offer packages to the summer series, WSOP.com is the only online poker site offering official seats to the 2014 World Series of Poker.
