- It is believed to be the first major online poker training site to offer Bitcoin as a payment option.
- The content was previously available only to the website’s members who had generated a minimum of $800 in rakeback with the online poker site affiliate.
- As an incentive to those who wish to gain access to the poker strategy article archive, Nutblocker has promised to add more content to its Silver VIP members in the future.
Nutblocker.com, an online poker rakeback and forum website, has begun offering its Silver VIP content to individuals who wish to purchase it using Bitcoins.
The content was previously available only to the website’s members who had generated a minimum of $800 in rakeback with the online poker site affiliate.
According to a company statement released earlier this week, the decision to accept Bitcoins as a purchase method for the Silver VIP content—which includes approximately 45 poker strategy articles from various poker professionals—is derived from Nutblocker’s deals not being available to all members.
“Many players are unable to benefit from our rakeback deals because they live in countries such as USA, France, Spain, Denmark and other countries where there restrictions to play online poker,” Nutblocker stated.
The Bitcoin price of lifetime access to Nutblocker’s Silver VIP content is 0.2 BTC. The USD equivalent asking price is $113.68 at the current exchange rate of $568.375 to 1 according to XE.com.
As an incentive to those who wish to gain access to the poker strategy article archive, Nutblocker has promised to add more content to its Silver VIP members in the future.
Bitcoin and Online Poker
Bitcoin deposits are currently accepted by a number of online poker sites, including iPoker and Americas Cardroom.
On June 9, Bitcoin-only poker site Satoshi Poker was acquired by BurnTurnPoker, which hopes to launch the exclusive Bitcoin poker room later this year.
Tournament Poker Edge is another training site that also accepts payment by Bitcoin.
