Independent poker upstart Mobile Poker Club (MPC) has announced the addition of a fast-fold poker product to its mobile-only online poker offering.
New “Next!” poker offers “an optimized algorithm that intelligently distributes players evenly across the table positions,” according to a press release sent to pokerfuse yesterday.
Currently only an “Alpha” fast-fold table, a $2c/4c 6-max pool, is available. Nineteen players were playing at the time of writing. The new feature sits alongside regular cash tables, SNGs and MTTs.
The Curaçao-licensed mobile microsite debuted for real-money in February 2012. It offers download clients for a wide variety of smartphones thanks to its Java-based platform, and also offers an HTML5 client for iOS devices.
Though flying under the radar of many and untracked by sites like PokerScout, MPC apparently has a modest but consistent small-stakes player base. Back in 2012, a spokeperson told pokerfuse that the site boasted “several thousands daily cash game players,” and was seeing strong growth.
At the time of writing, over 30 active cash game tables were observed, including one at NL200. Heads up, 4-max, short-handed and full-ring NL tables are available up to NL400. $1, $2 and $10 SNGs run, and there are regularly scheduled MTTs, including freerolls. The software is available in English, Russian and Polish.
