World Poker Tour action from Season XII will premiere on Fox Sports Network on February 9th.
A total of 37 episodes including exclusive backstage access to some of the world’s top casino establishments will air on Sundays on FSN and be replayed throughout the week on both FSN and FS2.
“This season, in response to viewer demand, we’re producing the most original episodes of World Poker Tour programming in our 12-year history,” said WPT President, Adam Pliska.
All the action from Legends of Poker and the more recent additions of the WPT Montreal and WPT Caribbean are penciled in to be on air as well as events including the impressive WPT Borgata Poker Open.
FSN’s broadcasting of the WPT sponsored by ClubWPT.com will wrap up Season XII in Atlantic City as the WPT World Championship visits the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa for the first time in the event’s history.
FSNt took over the World Poker Tour’s broadcasting rights in 2009 from GSN, and for the last five years has been airing the show, which includes the commentary partnership of Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten. Sexton and Van Patten have been with the WPT show since its debut season, which was aired on the ‘The Travel Channel’ from 2003 to 2007 before GSN’s take over and the eventual hand off to FSN.
Joining the commentary duo for the first time will be the popular Lynn Gilmartin, who has been assigned the task of bringing a new dimension to the show that has been earmarked to be the most dramatic seasons in its 12 year history.
We will also be seeing the return of Raw Deal Analyst Tony Dunst, who will be giving his final table analytic low down on the plays and players, plus Matt Savage returns along with the WPT Royal Flush Girls.
Fans can expect to see an in depth look into the success stories of the players and more final table drama including a step by step analysis of decisions made and hands played as the players hit the rail.
