1,908 players registered for event #1, the $215 re-entry format tournament, generating a prize pool of $381,600.
The guarantee was reduced from $400k in FTOPS XXV, which ran back in March, when the prize pool reached $563k.
The seasonal reduction in online poker traffic provides a rational reason for reducing guarantees; even so, a 32% drop in attendance is certainly a slow start to the series.

Fun events and promotions
The series is full of interesting events, offering tournaments in Multi-Day, Re-Entry and Multi-Entry formats.
There is also a wide range of game types including HORSE (Event #3), Razz (Event #7), 6-Card Omaha (Event #20) and 25-Game (Event #11).
The winner of the tournament leaderboard will become a Black Card sponsored Pro for four months, until the next FTOPS leaderboard winner provides a replacement. 100% rakeback, double Full Tilt Points, and access to Black Card only merchandise in the Full Tilt shop come with the appointment.
At the recreational player level, a compassionate promotion will give every player who bubbles an event a ticket to a “Bouncebackability” freeroll tournament.
The FTOPS Satellite Hero promotion offers free miniFTOPS tickets to players who satellite into an FTOPS event and make the money. A single cash after entering via satellite wins a freeroll ticket, but the next cash earns a $75 ticket to the MiniFTOPS Main Event.
