The new year is well underway, and it is time to get the 2023 live poker scene going for 888poker. For the year’s first stop, players will head to Madrid to compete for €300,000 guaranteed in the Main Event, as well as a raft of side events through the two-week series.

The first event on the 888poker:LIVE schedule for 2023 is less than a week away now as 888poker LIVE Madrid will kick off with its opening events on Jan 13. The poker action continues in the Spanish capital until Jan 23, when the Last Chance and the final day of the Main Event cap off the fortnight of poker.

There is €300k guaranteed for the Main Event, which features a €888 buy-in with four starting flights. Players can enter late throughout Day 1 and up to the start of Day 2. The final Day 1 flight, Day 1d, plays as a turbo flight starting at noon, with Day 2 of the event set to run starting at 5:30 pm later the same day.

However, there will be a lot more poker action than just the Main Event. There are multiple side events throughout the two weeks of action, including a €55 Ladies Event on the second last day of the festival. This is also the cheapest game on the schedule, while the most affordable open event on the docket will only cost €90 to enter.

While the Main Event in Madrid is pretty reasonably priced compared to other live stops, the operator is still looking to send a few players to Spain for pennies on the dollar.
