Online poker room 888poker has removed the traditional Sit-and-Go (SNG) games from its client as it looks to improve liquidity.

The removal occurred last Tuesday, May 2, 2023, without prior notice. All SNG games, including 6-max and 9-handed tables, as well as the heads-up SNGs, have been removed.

The policy does not impact the operator’s lottery-style SNG (LSNG) product BLAST. No consolidations have been made to other game offerings.

An 888poker representative confirmed the elimination was due to a business decision and that they are unlikely to return any soon. The representative further said that the decision is part of the operator’s drive to foster more play and consolidate liquidity by ditching infrequently-played games.
