The World Series of Poker dropped somewhat of a bombshell a few weeks ago, announcing the 2023 WSOP Paradise. The brand-new series, organized in partnership with the GGPoker real money platform, will take place in the Bahamas in December, and will feature 15 bracelet-awarding events.
The new series represents a significant addition to the winter live poker schedule, but it also clashes somewhat with a couple of major events, primarily the WPT World Championship and EPT Prague.
The organizers are still confident they will have no problems filling the seats and meeting the rather hefty guarantees, in part thanks to the partnership with GGPoker. The largest poker site in the world will, no doubt, play a pivotal role in bringing players to the Bahamas via different promotions and satellites.

WSOP Paradise Satellites Expected Shortly
A couple of days ago, the full schedule for the inaugural 2023 WSOP Paradise was revealed, giving players plenty of time to plan ahead and figure things out. For some, this also means checking out a schedule of online satellites to try and secure seats in the events they want to play at a discount.
As the official partner of the series, GGPoker will be hosting a variety of satellites, and we expect these will start appearing in the lobby later this month.
Looking at the history, it is likely the room will feature a variety of satellite tournaments, from direct qualifiers to step satellites, allowing players to start with a low buy-in and build their way up to the main feeder tournament.
WSOP Paradise Main Event Satellites
While we cannot predict how exactly the satellite structure will look like and what events will be featured, players will, at the very least, have the ability to qualify for the Main Event. The tournament comes with a buy-in of $5000 and a guarantee of $15,000,000, so those qualifiers will be in high demand.
GGPoker has pledged to send at least 1000 players to the Bahamas this December, and, to achieve this goal, the room will likely provide a variety of feeder events, making it possible even for the players with small budgets to have a fair shot at one of the packages.

Online & OnLive Events
There are a couple of tournaments that are likely to feature heavily on the satellite schedule. The first one is the $1500 Millionaire Maker in Paradise, an interesting event that the organizers will want to generate as much attention for as possible.
The tournament is played in two stages, the first one taking place online and playing down to 100 players. The second stage will take place in the Bahamas, where these remaining 100 will be joined by 18 more players (from GGPoker Ontario and WSOP NJ/NV) to play to the winner.
With a hefty guarantee of $5,000,000 and the fact that a majority of the event takes place online, a lot of players will be looking to get involved, and we will certainly see all sorts of satellites for this one.
There is also a $1000 online event on the docket, and we expect a decent number of feeders for this one as well.
Other than this, it is hard to predict what other tournaments will be highlighted by GGPoker. The branded GGMillion$ High Rollers Championship certainly comes to mind, but it is an event with a buy-in of $25,000.
GGPoker.com will start rolling out 2023 WSOP Paradise satellites any day now, and if you have been thinking about going, keep your eyes peeled. These could save you quite a bit of money if you play your cards right!
