One of the year’s most exciting live poker stops is underway, as EPT Barcelona kicked off a couple of days ago. Combining direct buy-ins, satellite winners, and those who managed to secure their seats via numerous other PokerStars promotions, such as Power Path, the event will be poised to break some records once again.
However, despite all these opportunities, not everyone is able to travel to Spain and get in the mix. Fully understanding this and not wanting those players to feel left out, PokerStars has announced the Mini EPT Online, set to start on August 27.
The mini-series will run on the platform for a full week, featuring affordable buy-ins, generous guarantees, and added prizes. Whether you are playing from home or have some free time between live events while actually in Barcelona, Mini EPT is worth checking out.

Main Events Loaded With Extra Value
The Mini EPT series will feature 25 events, but it is the two Main Events you should be most interested in. Both tournaments take place on Sunday, September 3:
- Mini EPT Main Event — L – $5.50 buy-in, $60,000 GTD
- Mini EPT Main Event — H – $55 buy-in, $150,000 GTD
While these tournaments feature big guarantees, other factors truly make them must-play. In addition to cash prizes, the eventual winners will also receive packages for EPT Cyprus worth $10,300. The packages cover the Main Event buy-in and travel and accommodation expenses.
Everybody who makes the final table in either of these two tournaments will also receive a $1050 WCOOP ticket that they can use to enter the 2023 WCOOP Main Event.
The Main Events are loaded with extra value, and this applies especially to the $5 buy-in one, as it is extremely affordable even for completely recreational players with very small bankrolls.
- Online Qualifiers now running, including Freerolls
- PokerStars’ first-ever EPT stop in Cyprus!
- EPT Main Event October 16 – 22
- Includes Mystery Bounty, High & Super High Roller Events
More Free WCOOP Tickets up for Grabs
Two Main Events are not the only tournaments with added value. Mini EPT brings a ton of free tickets distributed across the schedule, giving players a chance to claim tickets for the upcoming World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) in addition to regular cash prizes.
In fact, every single event on the schedule, including the ones with a buy-in of just $1.10, features added WCOOP tickets. These are distributed among the top finishers, while the winners can look forward to $1050 and $530 tickets.
You do not need to break the bank to get involved, as most tournaments are between $1.10 and $5.50 to enter. There are also a couple of $11 and $25 MTTs, while the only other $55 event in addition to the Main is the Super High Roller.
A majority of tournaments are No-Limit Hold’em, but there is one PLO, one HORSE, and one No-Limit Omaha event added to the mix for some variety.
All in all, the Mini EPT promises a lot of great action, big prize pools, and a ton of added value across the board, so it is a perfect opportunity for lower-stakes players to join the battle and try to give their bankrolls a proper boost.
