Live poker just keeps on coming with PokerStars’ European Poker Tour (EPT) Cyprus stop looming on the schedule. Starting October 11 with four events on the opening day, the series runs through October 22, with the $5300 Main Event beginning October 16 with two Day 1s and the final table running on Sunday, October 22.
A few acronyms in poker can generate excitement on their own, and EPT is certainly one of them. The popular tour by PokerStars that started in 2004 and is closing in on its 20th anniversary has evolved into the premiere poker series for Europe with an EPT Main Event title as one of the tiaras in poker’s live triple crown. The second-last stop on the 2023 schedule is the eastern Mediterranean island nation of Cyprus.
There are 59 events on the schedule plus numerous satellites to the bigger events, including the massive EPT Cyprus Main Event, the $1100 EUREKA Main Event, and a $10k Mystery Bounty game.
Of course, there are a host of other tournaments ranging from $250 ($330 for non-satellite events) to $50k. The $50k Super High Roller, starting on October 15, is the biggest game on the schedule and is sure to draw some of the top players in the world to Cyprus.

Poker Fun in the Mediterranean Sun
October is when the fall and winter seasons of the live poker circuit heat up and EPT Cyprus starting on October 11 might be the perfect way to get in some sizzling poker action while simultaneously escaping the cooling temperatures of northern countries.
Located in the eastern Mediterranean, just a short jaunt from Greece and Turkey, and less than 500km off the North African coast, Cyprus is perfectly situated for an autumn poker holiday.
The poker schedule through October 22 is likely to keep most players busy with daily action inside the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa. There are 59 total events spanning the 12 days of the festival, and no matter what buy-in range a player can handle, they should find something to play at EPT Cyprus.
Qualifier games to the big buy-ins start at just $250 for the live games on the ground in Cyprus, but as always, players on the PokerStars online poker app can win their way to the Mediterranean adventure for a whole lot less. Satellite buy-ins start as low as $2, but for players on the Power Path, just 50 cents is enough to get started on a Cyprus journey.
There are as many as 11 games running on some days during the series, with both October 16 and 20 being big days on the schedule, with 10 and 11 different events taking place in various stages.
The series will also include special-entry events exclusively for women and seniors, with the two-day Seniors’ game costing $550 and starting October 19 and the ladies playing for $330 on October 15.
While there is plenty of poker action to keep players rooted to the floor, Cyprus has a lot of it for those who might want some fresh air. As is usually the case, players at an EPT have a wide range of operator-promoted events to choose from off the tables, with Cyprus plans including a Jeep mountain safari, boat trips around the nearby Mediterranean islands, and food galore to explore the area, and as always, PokerStars will be throwing some of the hottest player parties around.
